Fine Food Convention 08

My parents own a bakery in the south of Tasmania called the "Bush Bakery"
They entered 6 different pies in the "Great Aussie Meat Pie Competition" in September 08 at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre

We placed in the following:

SILVER MEDAL CERTIFICATES
Bush Bakery, Leslie Vale, TAS (Scallop Pie)
Bush Bakery, Leslie Vale, TAS (Steak Bacon & Cheese Pie)

BRONZE MEDAL CERTIFICATES

Bush Bakery, Leslie Vale, TAS (Steak & Onion)
Bush Bakery, Leslie Vale, TAS (Mince)
Bush Bakery, Leslie Vale, TAS (Chicken Supreme)

This place was amazing - there were 3 huge rooms full of stalls.
And at each stall there was always something to eat or a show bag to take home.
You could quite literally stay at a stall and eat as much as you wanted.
It was bulllllshit good!

HHHMMMM!! Soo many pastries!

Some of the awards

Sophia & parents. Scouping out the awards.

We were up against some stiff competition.

Muffins were good.

Hard at work

Such good displays

This is all chocolate, it looked so tasty!!!

Free bread anyone??

It was never ending

Cha-ching!

A place to rest while looking through it all.

We were on the look out for fresh pizza, and they cooked it in under 5mins.
It was a seriously good pizza!!!

This was how I was allowed in.

Fancy a olive?

I can't remember what these dips were, but they were great!

Feebies from day one!

Yought ice-cream hmmmmmm!

Mini magnum ice cream

One of my favorite parts, sooo much free booze, it was so crazy good.

Premiere soft drink from Europe

Tea - tea bag is in front of the pot. So quite

This was tasty

The wine theatre - were they tell you everything there
is to know about the wine your tasting and the brewery.

Getting served

The one at the front right was the nicest.

The pompest prick on the right said
"I have to ask; is it really that far from a burgundy??"

All I wanted to do was to drink the wine and leave, but after 10mins I was sooo bored of listening to crap I didnt really care for. haha
So I drew pics depicting what I thought of each wine in turn.

Crazy amounts of top line ice-cream, and you could have as much as you liked!

I asked for a taste - this is what I got.

These were good!!

That chocolate is real

I can't stress, how good this place was!

This fish caught my eye

Thats its tounge by the way.

Some of the best salmon I have ever tried.
